Professor Rebecca Hardy
Professor Rebecca Hardy is a senior scientist at the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing. She is responsible for the methodology core and data management of the HALCyon Programme. She is lead investigator for WP1 on life course models of capability and co-lead for WP5 on capability and wellbeing in relation to life course area-based characteristics. Rebecca has worked on the MRC National Survey of Health and Development since 1995. Her research investigates how prenatal development, childhood growth, adult BMI trajectories, and trajectories of physical function (such as blood pressure) influence later health and ageing. Rebecca is also interested in the statistical methodology for the analysis of life course data and for cross-cohort comparisons.
