Catharine Gale

Dr Catharine Gale is leading WP2 of the HALCyon programme on life course models of psychological and social wellbeing, and contributing to WP3 on life history and healthy ageing.   Catharine is a Reader in Epidemiology at the MRC Epidemiology Resource Centre, University of Southampton, and an Honorary Fellow of the University of Edinburgh where she is a member of the Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology, based at the Department of Psychology.   She has worked on many cohort studies, including NCDS, HCS and HAS, investigating the factors during early development and subsequently that affect cognition, wellbeing, risk of chronic disease and survival.
